Jacob David (born 1981) is a Danish composer and pianist based in Copenhagen. Since a child, he was inseparable from the piano, doing improvisations ranging from blues to classical. While playing at nursing homes in his early 20’s, Jacob David observed how the music was soothing and would sometimes bring back memories long forgotten. This experience compelled him to simplify his music style; and he began to compose original pieces. First classical open mic in Copenhagen EVER!
I have been at many open mics for songwriters and there is a strong tradition for it here in Copenhagen and it really strengthen the community, and I think that we really could learn from that when it comes to composing classical. I know a lot of people composing, but there is no place to try it out and share, so finally here it is! I play a solo concert on the 3rd of March 17:40 at Kompasset Copenhagen. Looking forward to being on my own, and not acting on stage, but just be me and be able to talk about the songs. Down on the button I am still a good old singer-songwriter. Hahahaha!
It will be a songwriter club night called "speakeasy" and is hosted by Jacob Speake (yes the guy from tjili pop). It starts 17:00 and two other singer-songwriters called Regel and Nora Dalum will play too. Afterwards there will be an open mic. So come together dear singer-songwriters OBS!!! The show the 1st of March is cancelled but we are playing at Baunehøj efterskole the 27th of February 20:00.
Private performances 💙they are amazing!! Thanks for hosting us last night and thanks to everyone who came!!
People always say that we shall keep on with this performance, and we deserve to get up on much bigger stages and play in real theatres, but seriously this is not what we want at all. The most amazing performances, are the ones in private homes, with the audience as close to us as possible. Things just matters so much more when we as close as we are in our daily life. photo by: Laura Becker Thomsen. 📸 The live session is here!!! And I must say that I am so proud, and I have never been so nervous in my life. I think I practised the song like 30 times the day before ( yes my housemates are very fond of me) and I just couldn't get it right. It is pretty hardcore to be filmed when you are performing. You just need to get the whole take right. There is no way to cover your mistakes, but I think we nailed it!!! Hope you like it! We would be so happy to hear your opinion? We are always looking for something we can improve 🎻 🎼🎹🎙️🌬️ |
